She had been putting it off for long enough now.  She’d found every excuse to avoid making that call to Maxx.  She didn’t need a reminder, but still wrote his name on a slip of paper that she’d been using as a bookmark for the last 3 weeks.

Ella took off her glasses, rubbed her eyes, and looked out the window.  Niagara fields were full of tightly rolled bales of hay, some neatly lined up in a long row.

As she reached down to put on her glasses, something caught her eye.  There was Maxx Highgate, walking up her driveway!


Go to Rochelle Wisoff’s  Addicted to Purple site and use her Wednesday photo as a prompt to write a complete 100 word story for Friday Fictioneers.
